Stay Cool This Summer With Outdoor Umbrellas by Jardinico

Summer is fast approaching, and along with it – the promise of long, sunny days. We all love a blue sky and a light breeze -  but here in Australia, our sun can be unforgiving. We receive much higher amounts of UV radiation than Europe or the USA, and too much sun exposure can do serious damage to our skin.

The addition of an outdoor umbrella on your deck, backyard or patio can help to protect you and your loved ones from harsh rays. Enjoy the outdoors all afternoon without the danger of prolonged sun exposure.

Spring Cleaning: Caring For Your Outdoor Furniture

The weather is warming up, the sun is out – and it’s at this time of year that we begin thinking about dining outside, having friends over for a BBQ and lazy afternoons by the pool.

Preparing your outdoor furniture for these Spring & Summer days is particularly important if your furniture has been sitting outside completely exposed to the elements all winter - and is gathering more than just dust!

Designing Outdoor Furniture with a Distinctive Australian Style

Our traditional architecture has its own resourceful spirit and responsiveness to a varied Australian climate. Our cities formed as extensions of our past, with grand gothic churches on the corners of prominent city blocks and botanic parks strewn in-between. Our homes run as a concentrated band around the perimeter, dividing the land from the sea. Our lifestyles are very much a celebration of this vibrant intersection.

"Drawing Inspiration From The Rewards & Challenges Of Life By The Sea" Our Conversation with Nicola Webster of COAST New Zealand

The idea of COAST came about many, many years ago when Alex (my husband and business partner) was on a sailing race from Jamaica to The Cayman Islands. Everyone on board the yacht wanted to sit on a funny old corduroy beanbag wrapped in a waterproof sail bag, as it was so comfortable and easy to move about. We thought it would be a great product idea, if you could make a beautifully designed and weatherproof beanbag.
