DEDON in Sayulita

DEDON in Sayulita

Continue to explore, and the world will continue to offer new things to discover. DEDON’s latest find is an easy going surf village and meeting place for dreamers - Sayulita, Mexico.

Travel is like a second home to some, it can be so familiar that you must follow your instincts. When DEDON first heard of Sayulita, they knew they had to go as it was a match made in heaven for their designer outdoor furniture.

Teitiare is a boutique hotel run by fashion photographer Anne Menke and her husband. The couple built the accommodation as a place to raise their three boys, to surf and look after guests. Anne, who splits her time between Sayulita, New York and trips around the world to take photos for work, even founded an eco-minded international school nearby, ensuring a good education for her sons as well as a laid back lifestyle full of surfing and outdoor living.

The small fishing village charmed DEDON with its interesting little streets and family-owned restaurants and shops. There are many Mexican features surrounding Sayulita including tropical jungles, crashing Pacific waves and surfer beaches with evocative names like Playa de los muertos. It was the ideal setting for a DEDON photo shoot, and they had a world-class photographer on board. Fun and full of energy, Anne likes to involve family and friends interacting with one another in her shoots.

The photos combine a beach environment with elements of Mexican architecture. They are truly authentic, a result of following a route less travelled - characteristically DEDON.
