The luxury apartments Pillar + Tide have just been revealed, boasting interiors that capture Brighton’s balance of contemporary and traditional design.
Cosh Living was called upon to furnish a premium penthouse apartment, working alongside distinguished Melbourne collaborators to create a space that is sophisticated, welcoming, and captures the distinctive Brighton aesthetic.
The interiors are curated for a sense of timelessness, rather than trend-driven design. Cosh Living looked to bring warmth and curves into the furnishings of the interior and utilised exceptional furniture by the Australian Furniture brand Kett.
Kett's Johanna Table takes prime position in the dining area, an oak table finished with a refined Walnut stain. This captivating elliptical shape brings softness to the otherwise lineal space, the natural tone offering warmth and welcome.
Surrounded the table are the Otway Dining Chairs, upholstered in sumptuous soft green leather. A signature colour seen through Kett's collections, the same green leather is also seen on the Wye Barstools, which sit against the large natural stone kitchen island. The Wye Barstools' subtle eucalyptus-inspired tones of the powder-coated frame bring a homegrown edge to a kitchen that otherwise oozes an Italian minimalist aesthetic.
Mirroring the alluring aesthetic of the kitchen is the beautiful monochrome living room. The Johanna Occasional Chair sits by the fireplace and is one of the earliest pieces of furniture produced by Kett. Its rounded edges and deep seat make, give its an inviting feel and make for a great spot to relax and enjoy a glass of wine at the end of the day.
Furthering the narrative of curves and Kett's love for olive tones, the beloved tub chair features tailored piping details, again in beautiful soft green leather.

Behind the floor-to-ceiling length curtains, large sliding doors open onto the generous balcony, where dining alfresco is done in style. The outdoor Wye Armchairs from Kett and Brach Rectangular Table from Tribu, together create a durable setting with a striking silhouette.

Moving onto the premium bedroom, we have the Otway Nightstands by Kett and their most recent release the Erskine Bed.
The Erskine Bed's low profile continues the level of sophistication seen throughout the home, while the soft profiles from both the Erskine bed and Otway Nightstands effortlessly create a calming space. A generously padded headboard and a contemporary take on tweed fabric add an elevated edge.

Both of the smaller rooms have their own sliding doors that lead to the main balcony, one of which opens up to a bistro set which is made up of the Branch Round Table and Tosca Armchairs by Tribu. Allowing you to sip a morning coffee in peace, this setting was chosen for its delicate features and calming tones it reflects that of the building's facade.

While jacaranda and elm trees line nearby streets, Pillar + Tide’s landscaping by Acre features beautiful sunken gardens reflecting the internal architecture, creating synchronicity and cohesion.
These garden residences reflect a sense of harmony amongst the Bayside address, defined by an abundance of space, characteristic of Brighton’s local architectural context while being a modern iteration of higher-density living.
