The Tao Dining Table has been recognised at this year’s Archiproducts Design Awards for its bold form, which contrasts solidity and grace. The table’s sculptural, lightweight concrete base is paired with a slimline, finely milled circular top.
Tao was designed for Tribù by Italian architect and designer Monica Armani. It combines creativity and the highest quality materials and manufacture. Congratulations to Monica & Tribù on such a fabulous design!
Monica began her professional career working with her father, rationalist architect Marcello Armani, who passed on to her a passion for designing and planning, an attention to detail, and an enthusiasm for exploring new ideas. To this day, her father's architectural influence can be seen throughout their hometown of Trento, Italy.
Her early start as an architect taught Monica a distinctly disciplined approach to her brand of design; one that continues to influence every project from permanent and temporary structures, office, interiors, lighting, seating and outdoor furniture.
Her style has been characterised by a continuous connection between industrial design, architecture and interior decoration.
What brought Monica's vision to life, and what continues to make her designs possible, is husband Luca. Their first and now iconic B&B Italia Progetto1 table remains a testament to the magic and logic of their partnership. It is this partnership that has inspired the creativity and innovation of Monica Armani design. Head, hands and heart; a powerful combination.
In the past 20 years, Monica has worked with some of the world’s most important international design firms including Tribù, B&B Italia, Boffi, Cassina, Molteni&C, Moroso, Poliform and Cappellini, to produce icons of contemporary furniture.
The Tribù Tao Dining Table is now on display at all Cosh Living showrooms.
