In Studio KO’s NAGORI, the emphasis is earth – planters with a raw, hand-worked grain that honours natural texture, as if lifted directly from the soil. Softly tapered forms rise from rounded bases to level rims, with a nearly smooth collar on selected pieces. Colours stay in an earthy range, giving depth and an easy accord with planting. Based on the Japanese idea of ‘nagori’ – the lingering feeling left behind by past seasons – the pieces in the collection are grounded and elemental, with a clear sense of time held in their surfaces.Â
