This contemporary light filled coastal home in Trigg WA incorporates natural elements and optimizes panoramic ocean views. The interior needed to complement and reflect the natural coastal colour palette, materials and scale of the open-plan layout with attention to flow and integration of indoor and outdoor spaces.

The three-storey home features a rammed earth stairwell, timber floors, and external timber cladding and decking. Views have been captured through the black framed windows to become an integral design feature. Fully retractable floor to ceiling glass sliding doors between the balcony and main living area allow a seamless transition between in and out. The secluded yard and pool area offer privacy and protection from the coastal weather conditions.

The furniture selected for the project had to harmoniously flow with the raw and natural materials used throughout the home, and form a cohesive living space that is inviting, comfortable and complementary to the coastal environment.
